Addiesyn and I left for Idaho on December 26th...really early to attend Miss Kenna Jo's Wedding! It was beautiful and so wonderful to see Kenna and her family! We came home on December 29th!! Happy Birthday Addiesyn Bree....and Happy 2nd Anniversary to US!! Love you babe!!

Christmas Day

We had such a blessed day!! Christmas with our first child...priceless!! It was emotional, thinking of the year before when I was sooooo pregnant and getting very uncomfortable but this year holding our sweet precious and incredibly loved daughter and sharing the day with her!! Nothing could have made this day better! We got to wake Addie up and spend sometime just the three of us, it was peaceful and quiet...moments that I will never forget! Then we spent the afternoo with my family....not so quiet but a ton of fun!! We opened presents, had breakfast....played games and loved on eachother! Nothing compares to family!

Pops and Gran gave Addiesyn a bouncing, singing, tv adapting Ponny and she loves it!! We just simply named him "Pony" and as soon as he was assembled she was able to climb right on and off!! She is getting sooooo big!!


We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family....we have great Parents, Siblings, Grandparents, Great Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews....Friends! I love being able to surround my daughter with all of these people that loves her!!

Christmas Season

Can I just start by saying Jordan and I are having such an amazing Christmas Season!! The excitement of sharing the true meaning of Christmas with Addiesyn and sharing that magic of Santa Claus and his raindeer!! I think the anticipation almost got the best of me!!

I am so excited about "Family Traditions"...when I think about growing up and the special things most often they were things were did a lot...traditions!! I have been coming up with special things that we can start now so that Addiesyn and any other blessings we may have one day can have amazing memories like I do!!

We have a new little friend....his name is Cider and he is a Scout Elf that Santa sent to sit on our shelf and watch over Addie's behavior! I know it's a little early for her to understand but I think this will come in very handy in years to come!! You can have your very own Elf too...check out "THE ELF ON THE SHELF"!!

We also bought a wonderful book about the birth of our saviour Jesus Christ...what a humbling story to read to our children during a time of year when we often loose site of the true meaning of our celebration!!

We are spending Christmas Eve with Jordan's family, Gran(Debra, Jordan's Mom) is cooking and we will all exchange gifts and enjoy eachothers company...then going home to get Addie to bed and preparing for the arrival of Santa and waiting for the morning to arrive! We can't wait to get Addie up early!! Yep you heard me...we are going to have to wake her up!! After the excitement at our house we will spend the afternoon and evening with my family...we are so excited...I can't wait to post pictures!!

Christmas Shopping

We took Addiesyn to Toys R Us...I'm not sure who had more fun Addiesyn or Jordan?!?!

Look who loves to be a "BIG GIRL" and ride in the back of the basket!! She has also figured out that my camera has a seriously unreal delay and a red light blinks right before the flash goes off...so she now looks and smiles at the perfect time!! Seriously....it doesn't get any more precious!!

Breathing Treatments....BLAH!!!

Our sweet little Addie is very sick...she can't seem to breath and has a horrible cough and is sooo congested, when we took her to the doctor the also heard some weezing!! Dr. Martin has Addiesyn doing breathing treatments every four hours...which are having a strange effect on her...she gets very sleepy...and seriously passes out and sleeps all night!!

What a Thanksgiving...we have so much to be thankful for! Last year we were so thankful to be pregnant and awaiting the arrival of our sweet baby girl and this year we got to celebrate with her! We are truely blessed in so many ways...we had so many loved ones to celebrate with. We spent the night before Thanksgiving with Jordans side of the family...it was wonderful to all be together. Thanksgiving morning we started our own little family tradition...Daddy went and got us donuts and we watched the parade and ate in the living room! We spent the afternoon with my side of the family and really had a relaxing day! Addiesyn got to try everything! Now that she has a few teeth she is starting to enjoy trying new big girl foods! We thank the Lord daily for such wonderful family and the blessing of living so close together! We are so greatful for our beautiful, healthy, happy, growing daughter...she is a blessing in ways we never could have imagined! What a wonderful life we have!

I have the worlds most wonderful husband...I couldn't have found a better man to love, spend my life with, and have children with! He is such an amazing Daddy...he can't get enough of Addiesyn, they enjoy eachother so much! I wanted to share with you all some pictures of Addiesyn with her Daddy! Jordan always asks if he can take Addie to work with him...he wishes they could do everything together!

Vegas Baby!

Shopping can make a girl sleepy!!


We went to Vegas last week for four days! We had a wonderful time! We were joined by Pops, Gran, and our friends Brad and Emily! During the day the guys went to the SEMA car show and the girls did some serious shopping! Addiesyn was so amazing! She was so wonderful on the flights and enjoyed shopping as much as the rest of us! Before our trip she learned to point so that is her new favorite thing to do...and it is super cute!

It's Election Day and Debra is hosting an election party and Addiesyn has the cutest outfit...I just knew ya'll had to see it!! It says, Little Republican on the front and has red and blue ruffles on the booty....the outfit is completed with a John McCain bow! Go McCain and Palin!!

Time Flys...

I am so sorry that is has been soooo long since my last post...I guess I forget that other people read this and that it isn't just for me! I actually had three people go out of their way to tell me it was time for an update! Well here goes there is a lot to tell!!!

We spent some time at the Pumpkin Patch and although the pictures are adorable Addiesyn did not love the large orange things that felt funny! We also took a trip to Baylor to visit Christian(Jordan's brother)

We had a really nice time seeing where he lives and had a nice dinner. Addie also got to spend a full day with her Buddy Caden, they played so well together, and we celebrated Cousin Brookelin's Birthday(sorry we were late)!

On October 26th Addiesyn stood alone and she thinks that she is pretty amazing! She stands and looks around to make sure people are watching then smiles a huge smile and sits down! SHe is too cute for words!

We also celebrated Mommy and Daddy's Birthdays...it was so fun to get a Happy Birthday Mommy card from Addiesyn! She is already so thoughtful! ;) and simply has a wonderful Daddy!

Addiesyn was a the Cutest Pumpkin in the entire world for Halloween...we went to a Chili Cook Off with Pops and Gran then went Trunk or Treating with Nana and Opa along with all the cousins!

1st TOOTH!!

Addiesyn has a tooth! Well sorta...I have been rubbing those tiny gums everyday for about a month now...I swear she has been teething! Today while I was checking I got a little surprise...it's tiny but it's there for sure! One lil tooth has broke through on the bottom! Her gums are a little swollen but it doesn't seem to bother her(thank goodness)! I've been telling her about all the great foods we get to enjoy because we have teeth, so I am sure she is excited! Addiesyn is just over 9 months old...we had a Well Baby last Thursday, she weighs 17 pounds and is 27 inches long! She is healthy and growing fast...the Doctor is pleased with everything and moved her to a full term baby chart instead of the premi chard and Addie is in the 20th percentile! We are so proud of her, she brings so much joy to our lives and is a true blessing! I don't think life gets any better than this!

Sunday School

Today was the First Service for The Met Church in their new building...and it was Addiesyn's first day to go in the Church Nursery! Jordan and I have only left Addie with her Grandparents or Aunts and Uncles. I was really worried about leaving her but I am starting a Bible Study on Wednesday and I will have to leave her in the nursery then, so Jordan and I thought it would be best(for me) to leave her with Jordan's support for the first time! We took a picture, left her bag and all instructions(for a one hour service) and left Addie in the hands of our "new friend"....I of course started crying and circled the childrens area so I could double check on her before heading into church. Can you guess how this turns out....I worried all through the service for no reason....I rushed to pick her up only to find her playing and enjoying herself! Everyone said she was wonderful and made them laugh constantly! I'm so happy that she had fun at "Baby Sunday School"!

The Zoo!

Today Addiesyn went to the Zoo with both Mommy and Daddy! It was a fabulous family day! Our friends came too...it's always fun to get the kids together! Jason and Ashley brought Caden....Mike and Heather brought Hannah and Kynadie(Addie's BFF)!! We got to see the Elephants...they are Addiesyn's favorite animal! The kids were so funny!! It was a little hot but we had a great time, enjoy the pictures!

Our Teething Princess

Addiesyn was up every 2 hours last night...we just couldn't figure her out! We tried it all...bottle, pacifier, the rocking chair, walking, music, and we finally brought her to our bed to snuggle at 6 am! Please pray for our Princess...we have determined that she is TEETHING! Addie is almost 8 months old and hasn't cut a tooth yet, however it does appear to be happening! I finally got a good look at her gums, I think that she will have two teeth on the bottom soon! Today she slept a totally of 50 minutes all day and didn't go to bed until 10:30 tonight, that is so not like her! I cried with her twice today and called Jordan because I just don't want my baby to be in pain. I know she'll be fine and the baby meds are helping....I will let ya'll know when they break through.

Little Gym

Today was Addiesyn's second Little Gym Medal Ceremony....we love going to class! She loves the others kids and I love spending time enjoying her with other parents! Today Gran, Pops, NaNa, Aunt Alison, Aunt Robin, Kass and Melissa joined Addie, Jordan and I! We had the biggest group there! We are so proud of our Little Bug! At class we sing and get to practice movements that will help Addiesyn grow really strong! Today Addie did a forward roll on the balance beam...with Ms. Rachel's help of course! We really need to video tape a class...it's so cute! Today Pops (Jordan's Dad) jumped right in, he just wanted to help Addie with all her activities! We had a great time...she is getting so big!

Big Girl Spoon

BIG NEWS....Addiesyn is using her spoon like a big girl! She has been trying to self feed for a few weeks but ends up giving herself a kitchen facial!! Yesterday at lunch she tried again...and this time...perfect entry and the best bite of Sweet Potatoes she has ever had!! Even she was excited! Meal time just seems to get messier and more fun everyday!!

Also today Addiesyn and I hosted a Ladies Lunch! It was so nice to have my Moms/Addie's Grandmas and our dear friend Kass over! We had a great salad with all kinds of fixings (thanks for the great idea Stephanie) and a fruit salad! We got to visit and catch up while Addieysn played and showed off her crawling and standing skills! She doesn't know it yet but it's totally awesome for Addiesyn to be with her Mommy and NaNa and Gran all at the same time! I wish we would have taken a picture but I forgot! Thanks for coming girls, we need to do it more often!!

Starting this Blog

A good friend of Jordan and mine started a blog to keep her family and friends updated on her son! I loved the idea of sharing pictures and stories about Addiesyn with our family and friends...so I am going to give this my best shot! My prayer is that I will do justice in describing these amazing moments! Sometimes I feel things so deeply that when I try putting it on paper I get frustrated, I really want you to "feel" with us! I am not sure if I am going to start now and just move forward or if I am going to try to catch up on Addiesyn's first 7 1/2 months! Yes...you heard me right....Addie is 7 1/2 months old already! They grow so fast! The pictures above were taken at the beginning of July(6 month pictures), I love them!!

Hang in there with me while I get this started, I'll figure it all out....I promise!

Truely Crawling!

Today our Big Girl actually really crawled! For about two weeks she has been hanging out in the crawling position, bouncing, rocking, going to and from the sitting position but today she really really did it! First thing this morning after Daddy left for work we were playing before breakfast and she crawled just a little, it was so exciting! I cried and thought about calling Jordan but I really wanted to see his face when she crawled for him the "first time". This evening when we were all playing she really took off!! Jordan and I were both so amazed...she seems to be doing that to us a lot lately!!!

We Moved!

As if we don't have enough going on...we bought a house and moved! We now live in Haslet, in our very own house! Things have been crazy Addie is just over one month old and we had to pack, move, and unpack! Good thing we have such great family and friend that help out so much! Thanks you guys!

Addie still isn't breast feeding, but I am pumping and she is able to have exclusively breast milk in her bottle. I am a little broken hearted about it (ok a lot broken hearted) but I think everyone secretly enjoys being able to feed her. I know Jordan does!

Back to the Hopital

Yesterday morning we had an appointment with Dr. Martin (Addie's Pediatrician) to check her weight and her jaundice levels...bad news...she was still loosing weight and her jaundice level was seriously high! Dr. Martin instructed us to go straight to the hospital and that they would be waiting for us. My heart broke when he told us...I cried...my lil girl had to go back to the hospital instead of our comfy home! Thank God for Jordan, he is often my source of strength. I was determined to be with her every moment! Luckily Dr. Martin knew I would feel that way. We were able to stay the night with Addiesyn in the same room....she had to stay under the bili lights, we called it her "tanning bed"...she even had to wear "sunglasses"!! Addie has to be under the lights for at least 48 hours, we can only hold her for feedings and to change her diaper otherwise she has to be under the lights. I hate it, last night I sat in a rocking chair nest to her and held her hand or rubbed her sweet little body all night. We got here first thing yesterday and hopefully we will head home sometime tomorrow afternoon. Please pray that Addiesyn's jaundice will go away quickly and keep her safe during treatment. This is pretty common especially because she was early but it can be very serious when it is this bad. Also keep praying for her to take to breast feeding we are trying and I am pumping, I just know we will get it! Thanks, love you all!
